Diary of Events Spring 2008

APRIL

• Friday 4th April - Assemble in South Street Havant at 5.30 PM to lobby David Willetts for Big Ask, Climate Change Bill, media stunt Havant
• Sat 5th April - FoE National Day of Action, final push for Big Ask, Climate Change Bill.
• Weds 16th April - Havant Foe group meeting, 7.30pm
• Thurs 17th April - Hayling Island RA Sea Defences talk
• Sat 19th April - Portsmouth Climate Action Network Climate Festival,University of Ports., Student Union, Cambridge Road, - 11 - 4 pm workshops, stalls, films etc.

MAY

• 16th May - FOE Power-Up2008, in London,weekend residential to demystify the planning system, if someone from group is keen to go it would be very useful.
• Weds 21st May - Havant Foe group meeting
• 31st May - FOE Regional Gathering, S.E, East and London groups, in London - good for new members
• 31st May - Heathrow Demo

Regular Group Meetings

'The group meets on the third Wednesday of every month in Havant (no meeting in August). Our new venue is the new Nineveh, 11, The Pallant, round the corner from Waitrose,. Everybody is welcome to attend and raise issues they think are important to the local environment.

We would like to continue with some meeting dates as themed, not business, and a showing of the film about Hawaii and plastics that started the plastic bag free movement will be one, also, a 'Round Langstone Harbour' Bike Ride, with Portsmouth FoE.
