Havant Borough Council will be holding a number of public exhibitions throughout August on its draft Local Plan Housing Statement.

This will provide an opportunity for people to view all of the consultation material and discuss the proposals with council officers.

The housing proposals will also form part of the new Havant Borough Local Plan 2036.

Councillor David Guest, Cabinet Lead for Economy, Planning, Development and Prosperity, said: ‘I urge residents of the borough to come along to these exhibitions and get involved as much as possible.

‘The Local Plan has been designed to provide significant benefits for everyone who lives in, works in or visits the borough and is essential in raising the prosperity of Havant whilst offering a high quality of life.

‘By providing these much -needed homes it will give our children and grandchildren a real opportunity to get on the housing ladder in the future.’

Each exhibition will be the same, so anyone unable to attend their nearest one can go to any of the others being held.
