Havant Council are holding an informal consultation on the future of East Street, Havant from 14th August to 14th September 2012.
The area includes 5-17 East Street, 2-12 The Pallant and St. Faith’s Church and Hall and is located in the heart of St Faith’s Conservation Area.
In recent time commercial activity has declined in this area, and there are now a number of buildings vacant and for sale.
This is therefore an important opportunity for the community and the Council to lead the regeneration this historic part of Havant.
Clearly there are a number of complex issues that need to be considered alongside any regeneration proposals for East Street, which includes sensitivity of the historic environment, the viability of the project, community uses, parking and roads.
