We enjoyed taking part in the rally for Climate Justice on 12/11 but COP27 certainly hasn’t moved us much further forward in the fight against climate chaos.

Havant FOE and Havant Climate Alliance inviting local groups to join us at the Public Service Plaza on Tuesday 13/12 from 2-4pm.  If you’re involved with local groups, do come and tell us what your group is doing to help with the energy crisis and share your ideas about how things could be improved. Network with other local groups.

Jeremy Hunt has pledged to double annual energy efficiency investment with new funding of £6bn, but not until 2025.

A £5 billion a year home insulation programme, focused on those most in need first, would cut the UK’s gas use, slash energy bills, create jobs and cut carbon emissions. Another opportunity missed in the budget.

Saving Energy

Lots of people demonstrated against sewage in the Solent on Saturday. The issue is getting lots of publicity but do keep telling people about it putting pressure on MPs etc.

There are now three consultations about the future of our water supply and of course there are lots of issues around recycling effluent and piping it to Havant Thicket Reservoir. We’ve put the links to them all on the Havant Climate Alliance website
